Hi, my name is Amy Bailey. I want to introduce myself and share how I got started in breeding, helping you
decide if a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is right for you.
When I saw my first Cavalier, I was completely awestruck and wrote down the breed’s name, keeping it in my
wallet for nearly 10 years! At the time, I didn’t have time to care for a pet, but I dreamed of the day I
would own one.
Years later, when my mother suffered a stroke, I decided to get her a Cavalier as a motivational tool to
encourage her recovery. Savannah, our first Cavalier, stayed with my mother full-time during those crucial
months. This breed is well-known for being a comforter—cuddly, sweet, and non-aggressive. They thrive on
companionship and don’t like being left alone.
If you’re considering getting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, ask yourself if you have the time to dedicate
to their needs—walking, playing, and bathing daily. If you work long hours and the pup would be alone most of
the time, this may not be the right moment to bring one into your home. However, if you have family members
coming and going throughout the day, it could work with proper planning.
Reach out to us to discuss the breed further or schedule a visit. I look forward to meeting you!
After suffering from a stroke, my Mother didn't have a lot of "get up and go" as she had before. My concern was, what can I do to help provide her with a renewed sense of purpose, bring her more joy; something to care for beyond herself and her situation? Many years ago at an airport, I saw a Cavalier for the first time. I remember distinctly saying, "one day I'll have one too, they are the most beautiful dog in the world! “Therefore, a short time after her stroke Savannah was purchased, and the passion for Cavaliers has expanded into a small business!

Our journey with Cavaliers began as a personal devotion that evolved into a mission to share the joy they bring with others. At For King and Country Puppies, we are committed to preserving and enhancing the legacy of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Our breeding program is founded on the principles of responsible breeding and ethical practices. We prioritize the health, temperament, and well-being of our Cavaliers, ensuring that they are not just breeding dogs but cherished members of our family. Health screening is paramount, and we work diligently with trusted veterinarians to maintain the highest standards in the care of our dogs.
All pups are vet checked from nose to tail at 8 weeks. Your puppy will be up-to-date on vaccinations and fecal test with a current health certificate documentation provided with every puppy. Puppies are screened also for issues concerning heart, joints, ears, eyes, etc., that are pertinent to Cavaliers as their parents are regularly.
